- Scaler / Primary Organization: used interchangeably, the original entity or organization whose model is being replicated.
- Implementer / Doer / Doer-at-Scale: used interchangeably, the entity undertaking the purposeful external replication of the Scaler's model to achieve a broader impact (i.e. governments, NGOs, communities, or businesses).
- Payer-at-Scale: financing mechanism that supports replication implementation at scale (i.e. customer revenues, government taxes, big aid, private philanthropy)
- Replicator: the entity undertaking the purposeful internal replication of the Scaler's model to validate and test the model in various contexts.
- Internal Replication: The replication of a business model by the primary organization across geographies and contexts to validate the business model.
- External Replication: The replication of a business model by other people or organizations (whether they be NGOs, Businesses or Governments).
